Dear Volker,
You might want to get in touch with Captain Lewis-- I know that he is planning a trip to Murvaux at the end of this coming September, again to check the evening light on the anniversary of Luke's demise, so please be patient and give him time to reply...

The Captain also knows of one account-- albeit, not from the most reliable of sources, but there it is-- where Luke may have shot down a D-7 on the evening you are looking at-- unreported, unconfirmed, uncredited-- but, again, there it is...
And please don't forget, Volker, how once a few years back, the pitchblended Captain gave you credit for pointing out the effect of that balloon [machine] gun on those German soldiers that Luke supposedly strafed on the ground in Murvaux; I guess you could say that the Captain admires you, inasmuch a noble cat can admire a mere bi-ped...
VBR,
Skippy
