Hello Lasttime,

Do you think there might be a case for posting links to photos that board members have not already seen?

Regards,

Wiking

I agree ,

However , between the three of you , " new members" ,... you have almost taken over the Aircraft main page , this section being meant specifically for posts concerning Aircraft , Aircraft Engines & Armament ....
& in doing so , swamped it with your constant questions , which more rightly should belonging in the sub-sections of " Camouflage & Markings " , or alternatively on the " People" section .

Hi John,

Well I hope I'm not immune to advice,so taking on board your comments ,while I can see that given my main interest is in aircraft serials, possibly the markings aspect of the camouflage and markings might be a location for any for my posts, I would also have to ask what you understand by aircraft, because to my mind my posts are about aircraft. Is there something I've missed,or somewhere I've not looked because I wasn't aware of any restriction of the aircraft forum to largely engines and armement, even if those subjects are mentioned in the subtext.Rather that would tend to indicate a possible need for subforums on engines & armaments. Also I don't see other board users posting on the subjects you mention being crowded out.If you have something to post.Post.

Equally, I might add that the text under the homepage reads aircraft and aces of World War I.Would I be correct in assuming that you would therefore favour the replica subforum becoming 'independent' and taking its place with the other non historical boards Flying Models and Games and Flight Sims? It would appear only logical.

Warmest Regards,

Wiking

I entirely agree with you. I greatly enjoy the wide range of topics appearing within the 'Aircraft' section of the forum, which I read most days - from guns and engines to the use and success of the various types, and the identification of more obscure aircraft and their units - and their markings and colours. One learns a lot from the undoubted experts in their various fields who are active in this section.
I feel it would be a shame if one had instead to check every esoteric sub-section of the forum to get the same overall picture.
I would hope there was room under 'Aircraft' for all these interests to be included.

The standard factory color of the Pfalz was a silver/gray, the angled black stripes signify Jasta 4, the red paint on the spinner and tail as well as the white circles are personal colors.

Clearly a narcissistic & totally disingenuous composition

I notice that in the space of " almost a whole month " , since you joined , ..you have complained twice about Dwojkarz taking over your posts , and also you have felt the need to sneakily complained to the Moderator about Gazder 's postings with you .

" Nice fella ! "

Clearly , you have an overwhelming desire to be seen as a lofty " Serious Historian" .... rather above us Lowly , Non-Historical , Replica Aircraft or Model Builders along with other Gamers or Flight Sim operators etc.etc. .

John,

Do you post these diatribes because you have nothing of substance to say on WW.I aircraft? I had no idea that you had such an inferiority complex about your interests. Or are you perhaps suffering from an excessive intake of alcohol. I only ask because if you look again at ‘you have felt the need to sneakily complained’ you’ll note that the grammar is all over the place. Still I’m delighted to see that you have managed to find a technically competent person to address your keyboard problem and that your font size is no longer so chaotic.
For myself I will post on any subject I choose when I choose. I definitely will not be taking any further notice of a person who incorrectly states that I look down on other areas of interest represented on these boards. Don’t give up the day job for mind reading. I have simply pointed out the logic contained in your desire to dictate where and when other board users should post. I suggest now would be a good time to refrain from your emotional outbursts. If you chose to continue this thread it will be a monologue on your part. As my post German with the FFA 3b photos shows there are more interesting matters to address than what passes for thought in your head.

You are now on my ignore list.

Wiking
