No. 1430 Trainer, 3rd A.I.C. at Issoudun, France

Can any of the Forum experts tell me about this aircraft?
I know there were many training airplanes, when was this
airplane built and put into service and how long did it last?
My Grandfather's photo album is full of crashed airplanes.
I presume this plane probably met a similar fate.
Thanks, Todd

I found this on the site. Is this the same aircraft?

F1430 Sopwith Camel 185th Aero Squadron 1Lt EH Kelton

In the case of Sopwith F.1, F1430 this is the serial number from the contract batch purchased by USAS. The 1430 is the training center identity number in France. I can get you the French serial number of this a/c.

This plane is not a Camel. It appears to be a Nieuport.
