1:32 Academy Nieuport 17

Hi to every one
Firstly I havn't posted on this forum for a very long time as I have been doing a rather large project with a WW2 subject.To this end I have spent the last 10 minutes or so trying to navigate around this forum ...as I have forgotten how to post!!
Anyhow......I finished this Nieuport a couple of days ago and as I think you guys are the experts on WW1 aircraft model making I would like to hear your comments so that I can improve !!
Now if I can remember how to post photos..................

Hi Sean
Firstly thanks for your input....most of the Cockpit was scratch built...I have to say that I don't like and never use after market parts.I usually scratch build most of my aircraft.

thanks Fozzy;

I'm not a 'huge' fan myself, I do mostly mix 'n' match & 're-purposing' with a very little bit of scratch. when I buy aftermarket usually a very small percentage of it gets used....

Reason I'm asking is cause I have one of these in my stash & I keep looking down my nose at it [wingnut snob I guess ] but I keep seeing some great results here & wonder what people are doing to them. i.e. the horrific ejector pins marks on the wheels, how did you fix that - it looks like you used the kit wheels.

Sean....its easy....any ejector pin marks on any plastic model can be easily taken care of with a light rubbing of wet and dry paper...well thats what I do! and yes I used the Kit wheels.I scratch built the seat,a couple of instrument dials,switches and fabricated any thing that was missing in the kit!!

.....How ever one thing I would say about this Acadey kit is the absolutly nightmare that is .......the Decals Academy use...I had to hand paint the tail flash ...no ammount of Micro Sol or Set will do the job!!
