Turkish Albatros D.II

Does anybody happen to know ...or is able to make a good guess .... the Werk#s of the 3 D.IIs sent to the Ottoman Empire? I have seen a color plate of Ottoman s/n AKD-2 showing the Windkoff radiators. I am trying to verify that from photos (Yes! I am a wishful thinker!) or by figuring when the aircraft was built. Thanks, All!!

Hello nvalbatri,

the three Albatros D.II had the following registration Numbers:

D.902/16
D.927/16
D.935/16 (first Jasta 17, later delivered to Turkey)

from: Albatros D.II - Germany's Legendary World War I Fighter by Rudolf Höfling

Regards

Rainer
