WNW SE 5a Rigging Question

I am fairly new to the world of WW1 a/c so please bear with me ,I have started the above mentioned model but I am finding it difficult to rig in between the cabane struts. I use Lycra thread and Bobs Buckles but how do I conquer those darned struts!!! Please help!!
Many thanks, Alex.

SE5a rigging

What exactly is the problem you are having? It's a tight space so access is one of many difficulties. Visibilty is another which is why I have to use a magnifying light. You say you have started the model. Unless the top wing is attached it is too soon to do any rigging since the underside of the top wing is one of the attachment points for the rigging. For tight spaces like that I usually use fine wire cut to the right length. For the Se5a I would bend the bottom end at a right angle, apply a dab of super glue into both attachement points (small holes in the top wing and the fuselage) then I would place the straight end in the wing hole and the bent end in the fuselage hole. Of course my method means you wouldn't use the Bob's Buckles in those locations. If using the Buckles I suppose you would attach the buckles to the aforementioned locations, thread the Lycra through one end, secure it with CA, then thread through the other end, stretch it and then secure it with CA. Sorry for the long explanation but without knowing the exact problem you are having, I'm not sure what advice to give. Rigging is a tedious process so the best advice I can give is patience.

Rigging Question

Thanks Otis, it reallty was not a long explanation, makes sense really ,I think I may go for your method as opposed to buckles, your right,it is a tight space.
Do you use guitar strings at all?
Thanks once again
Alex

SE5a rigging

I have used it. High E string should be about right. Maybe the B, but I don't think I would go any thicker.
