First 1/48 pilot sculpt

Hi there fellow modelers,

attaching a picture of my first sculpt in 48th scale, a german pilot.
No commercial parts were used.

A few areas still need minor work, let me know what you think about it.

Thumbs up

Very nice, Manfred. Is that figure a one-off, or for production?

If they are for production, I'd buy a few. How about some in flight gear! Scott

What do I think of it? I think it puts most commercially produced figures to shame. Fine fine work.

Thanks for looking gentlemen.

Hi Kreston . It started out as a challenge for myself but the head is separate and it should be quite possible to cast in resin if someone wants to pick it up as a master.

I have more plans, a sitting figure for the Albatros series, a walking mechanic, a pilot ready for flight and of course I would like to do RFC and Armee l' air figures too. But I'm not the fastest sculptor and so thing might take a while.

Angry

"head is separate"

It would be if I got one, seperated by mi' pellet gun.
Why are all you sculpturing chappies mesmirised by dodgy looking Hun blokes in shiny black leather?

Casting

When we get Series 77 back up and running, let's talk. But it shan't be anytime soon, alas.

Oddly, what would be cool are some 1/48 dogs. Aerodromes were chockablock with 'em.
