Eighty-two years ago the Spanish Influenza was at its height.
I have the Commonwealth War Graves Commission register for Central Ontario, and it lists many RAF cadets and enlisted men who died in October 1918 from that plague. It hit very hard at Burwash Hall at the University of Toronto (next door to my old college) which was taken over by the RAF.
Let's not forget them, as well as those who died in training, before they ever got overseas.
