A.H. 800 HP Flying Boat Project?
Hi! I have recently received a copy of Die k.u.k. Seeflieger! I had heard Schupita was planning an additional book on the subject but I doubt this will ever come true, which is quite unfortunate as I would consider him and Boris Ciglic to be the most knowledgeable people on the subject. But anyways, I was exploring the section for technical data and side profiles when I came across 2 aircraft I was completely unfamiliar with. (I have since found that the first one is the Friedrichshafen FF49C.)The most notable of the 2 was gargantuan in size (67 feet long and 16 feet tall) with a crew of 3-4, it had 4 engines similar to those of the Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI and with a combined horsepower of 800 (according to the original plans), it was/would have been equipped with 4400 pound bombs, and was simply called the Mickl 'Mammut' (Mammoth). If anyone has any information on this mysterious 4-engine flying boat bomber I would be grateful if you would share!
