Lt Jonathan Gumersal Sharp MC - No. 14 Balloon Section - No 34 Squadron

Hello everyone.

I am looking for information on a Canadian soldier named Jonathan Gumersal Sharp MC who served in the RFC as an observer in the No. 14 Balloon Section then transferred to No. 34 Squadron (as a observer) where he received his Military Cross. I have been able to find his gazette for receiving the MC which is great. I was also able to find the following excerpt about him while in the 14 Section Balloon Corp.

21/4/17 & 4/5/17 – Lt. Sharp parachuted from burning balloons. On the latter occasion Lt. Sharp stayed in the basket firing his revolver at the E.A. although the balloon was well alight.

Any further help especially while he served with the 14 Balloon Corp would be appreciated. Does anyone know any amazing books specifically on the Balloonists and their records?
