Pour le Mérite winners picture
Years ago in a aviation Book by Arch Whitehouse was a group picture of about a dozen or so winners of the Pour le Mérite including Hermann Göring
where did this come from? Speaking of Goering Link of Interest: https://forum.axishistory.com/viewto...97300&start=30 While his actual credits were indeed about over 20..I remember seeing a 1940 Who Who [?} biography on him which claimed a higher score of 30-to 40!  In regard to report that the "Blue Max" after shooting down 20 EA-- 21 aces who did shoot down 20 never recevied It! 3 died 3 were recommended in 1918 but not preceeded with 15 were nominated but never received it because the war ended! https://forum.axishistory.com/viewto...97300&start=15 Sic Transit glori
