Aeg c.ii

This aircraft was a continuation of the earlier C.I aircraft. It differed in being about 5% smaller. This made the aircraft a little more maneuverable. Like the C.I before it, production was limited, but their are differences in the sources of how limited. One source lists the production as limited to only 36 machines, while my search of the serials came up with 61 machines, although I do have my doubts about the 61st machine, and wonder if this could be the C.III prototype. Otherwise my check of the serials showed a batch of 24 machines using serial #'s C130-C153. Another batch of 20 machines using serial #'s C869-C888. A third batch of 16 machines using serial #'s C1887-C1902. And finally a lone machine under serial #C9421. The specifications of the aircraft according to my research is as follows.

Origin: Germany
Type: Two-Seat Reconnaissance/Bomber
Service Period: 1915-1916
Powerplant: 1 Benz Bz.III 6-cylinder liquid-cooled piston engine (150hp)
Maximum Speed: 86 mph
Service Ceiling: 16,550 feet (5,050 meters)
Range: 360 miles
Armament: 1 Parabellum MG14 7.92mm machinegun (RF)
Bomb Load: 90 lbs.
Crew: 2
Production: 61
Users: Germany: 61
