Duplicate copy of Flying Log Book?
I have recently obtained my great-uncle's RNAS/RAF Flying Log Book, but with it came a duplicate copy. The copy has a plain red hard cover with no writing on it and is actually what looks like a gunnery logbook - the columns have 'Back sight' 'fore sight' etc which have been crossed out and then the same headings as in his flying log inserted by hand. The entries are not in his hand-writing.
The entries are identical to the end except for some during his training, where more detail has occasionally been added - eg 29.10.17 he says 'landing fairly good', copy says 'Instructor got wind up and cursed some'!!
Is this is an 'office' copy written by a clerk? Was this normal practice?
