Sworl coverage on Albatros D.III(Oef) 253.64 of Flik 42J

Hello friends,
I've got another one of those oddly specific questions. I've seen various profiles of the aircraft of the title, some showing the sworl pattern covering the whole plane and others showing just the wing and fuselage top, the fuselage sides being the usual varnished plywood. Is there any evidence favouring one of these interpretations? Thanks!
best regards
