Could this fabric be genuine?

Purported to be a piece of fabric from a Jasta 11 aircraft--probably that of Ltn Max Festler, who was shot down on 11 Aug 1918 near La Chapellette. Measures 18" x 22"

Any help provided will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
