Rigging Tutorial

Never having rigged a WW1 aircraft, I'm at a bit of a loss as to the methods adopted by the knowledgeable and experienced modellers here.

Can anyone provide me with a few tips, a couple of explanatory photos etc as to how they go about it, the traps and pitfalls, the hard-learned lessons?

Anything would be helpful.
