DVIII questions

I'm looking for some info regarding wing tapes on the DVIII. I don't see much evidence of them in my Datafile, so wonder if the use was discontinued on the DVIII. Also wondering if the lozenge runs/ran lengthwise on the elevators? I'm guessing the fuse seams would have tapes on them to seal the edges(lengthwise), as would the trailing edge of the elevators...
I can use either the tapes from my LVG, or cut them out of spare lozenge decal sheet, which AVIS supplied some extra of. I think the ailerons were wooden, so no worries. Last, is there another more up-to-date source on the DVIII? Seems to be a rare bird!
Thanks for any help- Mike
