Elasticated thread - why in future I will never use anything else!!!

Yes I agree, human hair is probably more realistic in terms of diameter for many uses.

Yes, stretched sprue can be made to any thickness.

Yes yes yes I'm sure people have many other much better ideas BUT...

Can you drop your Airfix-based 1/72 RE8 on the floor 5 minutes after finishing it, 5 of the 6 wing struts fall off, but the top wing stay more or less just where it should be (as the rigging does just the job its sposed to do on the real thing) while you just pop the struts back?????????

Cos that's what I just did!!!!!!!!
