Bristol Fighter replica used in "Death Hunt"...
I caught a late night movie on last night called "Death Hunt" starring Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin. It was from 1981 and was a Canadian film about the "Mad Trapper" who up in Northern Alberta was chased up into the deep wilderness. What was surprising was all of a sudden to see a beautiful and accurate looking Bristol Fighter used by an RCAF pilot to track Bronson and try and kill him. The aircraft wings and tail surfaces were clear doped linen with the RAF/RCAF roundels, but the nose was PC 10 and rear fuselage back of the lacing was red. The flying scenes were some of the best I've seen of a single aircraft in a movie and you really caught how the real Bristols must've moved through the air. Impressive! The aircraft flew over the snowy wilderness and even landed w/ skis in the snow. It had an overwing fixed "Hollywood" style machine gun, instead of the usual Vickers. No observer in the rear cockpit. The flying angles afforded the viewer great views of the aircraft.
