Jasta and RFC Squadron Vehicle Support

Dear Forum mates, I need to know for research on my book what type of vehicle support a German Jasta and RFC squadron would have had in 1917-1918? I know that they sometimes used rail but more often, they used lorries. How many did each have, what types and brands (models) and finally what colors were they painted?

Also would the Jasta/Squadron retain an older (obsolete) aircraft to be used for administrative purposes? If so, when it flew was it armed (just in case)? I'd appreciate any help and references you all could recommend. Thanks for everything, Scott Price, a.k.a. Roadhog
