Info. on A. H. Stanton

I'm looking for clarification on my Grandfather's FAI Aero Club of America pilots certificate. His name is Arthur H. Stanton and the certificate is dated January 15, 1919, however the certificate number is hard to read. It is either #3749 or #749. Would anyone know which one it is and any more information about him.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff Stanton
