Unknown Artist

I need some help, gregvW waskind enough to direct me to ebay Australia and the end result was 11 art prints of wwi subjects. As some of you know, i have been working on a book The Art of the Dogfight: WWI Aviation Art for about 5+ yrs now and i would like to id this artist so that i can gain permission to use some of the material in my book.

As pertinent to another thread here, simply because i am able to scan the art prints, does not imply to me the right to use them as i see fit: i dearly want to use them in my book, as well as find the artist to see what other works may be out there. The signature looks to read J.Richards, and the art prints were found in a carboard tube within a wall that was being torn down to renovate a house in Australia:
