PLANS COASTLINE FLIGHT TO N.Y.

By Associated Press
NEW YORK, Sept. 18.
Plans for a coastline flight from Spokane, Wash. to New York City were announced tonight by Lieut. Kenneth Unger, former British ace, whose plane, the Black Crow, is entered in the Spokane air derby.
Lieutenant Unger has laid his course from Spokane down the coast to the Panama Canal, across the isthmus and the gulf and thence up the North Atlantic shore line to New York. He expects to make the flight in a dual-motored amphibian plane shortly after completion of the air derby, which begins tomorrow.
The purpose of the flight, he said, is to demonstrate the feasability [sic] of long distance flights without the risk attendant on a trans-ocean course. Accompanying him will be John A. McGlyn, chief mechanic, who served the Army round-the-world fliers in 1924 in the same capacity.
