Avia lozenge decals

Greetings all;
Several weeks back I rec'd a small packet from Avia prints and as their note says they would be delighted if I could focus on their content. So Here goes. Many of you remember my lament to Eduard about getting the colours right in their lozenge sets. While my name is linked to the Eagle Strike sets it is because of the research I put into the type. They are still my favorites. Several of us here and on the modeling page put info into the hat for Eagle Strike and they have been very faithful the the colours.

Now on to the new kid on the block, for lozenge that is. Avia has played it safe and has duplicated the early Eduard and the Special hobby colour sets for their lozenge. The rib tapes are solid dk grn and solid mauve. Using my scanner I have tried to pull up the Avia sheets to post here. The colours here are as close to the sheets as my scanner will allow. Used as is and speaking stictly to the colours here,not their application success on a model, I would say for what we have seen they are a safe attempt but not a great one. Overall I would say a bit too much dk blue for the underside and not enough for the the top. I plan to try to use them in the next few days to be able to speak about their adherance properties. One set of colours for the top set , the blue purple should be the rubine red --blood mauve colour.
