Hi Folks,
We've all been waiting anxiously for the Discovery Channel Documentary series "Unsolved History"'s episode on the death of the Red Baron, coming up on this Wednesday night. According to my listings, there will also be a 1-hour documentary preceding it entitled "Dogfighting: Dangerous Duels". From what little I can find out from the Discovery Channel website, this documentary will also deal with WWI (yes, WW One) aviation, with emphasis on Fokker's development of a synchronizer gear, etc. I don't think this is the same documentary as the BBC one on "Dogfighting", or soemthing, mentioned elsewhere on this forum. Anybody know anything about it ??
Anyway, it looks like WWI aviation addicts will have something to fire up the VCR for. The Red Baron program will be followed by another doc on the Lusitania. No doubt we will all be grumbling about tiny inaccuracies in both these programs the next day, but hey...at least we're getting something other than the usual.
