Frank Linke-Crawford figure, painted

Below should be some smudgy pictures of the 1/48 Frank Linke-Crawford figure I sculpted and posted a few months ago (Yes I work slowly!).
He is painted in oils and acrylics. All comments welcome.

Impressive! The action really brings this figure to a high level or realism.

Very Cool.

I wish I could paint figures!

I remember seeing your sculpture. You are a very talented modeller.

The last time I painted a figure it was 1/35 (and about 15 years ago).

I started to look at the Eduard Flying Core Ground crew figures last night with a view to using them in a diorama with my BE2c... Very daunting.

Cheers,

Hugh

It really is beautifully and sensitively rendered, and I like that you chose just to show the figures - not to make an enlarged plot to show off an airplane in the background (like I might have done!). This has such a simple grace that the presence of military hardware would be like some cad cutting into the dance. Bravo!

Hans, Stephen, MerlinV and Charlie, thank you for your comments. I do have some diorama ideas, but need to develop my aircraft building skills further!
