Portuguese pilots in French escadrilles en 14-18

(Source escadrilles de l' aéronautique militaire Française 1912-1920-SHAA)

Cal de Sousa-Gomes escadrille 2
Cne de Monteiro Torres escadrille 65
Cne de Souza -Maya escadrille 124
Cne Dos Santos-Leite escadrille 124
LTT Lello-Portela escadrille 124
Ltt Antonio De-Cunha-e-Almeida escadrille 79
Ltt Luis De-Cunha-e-Almeida escadrille 79
Cne Ramirés escadrille 158
Ltt Valente escadrille 158
Eduardo Santos-Moreira escadrille 278
Pedro Junes-de-Siveira escadrille 278
Slt Alvés escadrille 263
Slt Pereira-Gomés escadrille 263
Joses Antunes Cabrita escadrille 204

I think that these pilots was flying with the insignia of their escadrilles
(may be with some distinctive personal markings?)

Cordialement
BRUNO

Exclamation chasseur portugais

Info in this Link:

"of note is the fact that some pilots painted on their machines the Portuguese colours, either by modifying the French cocardes (just a matter of painting the inner blue and white circle in green, since the outer ring was red), or by adding diagonal red and green stripes over the rear fuselage, such as used by Santos Leite, Sousa Maya and Lelo Portela on their SPAD S.13 C1, along with the Jeanne d'Arc insignia of Escadrille SPA 124, that replaced Lafayette Escadrille, to which these pilots belonged."

Maybe some references of utility:

Avions N° 96. Mars 2001. Article: 14/18 : Lello Portela ,un chasseur portugais au service de la France. Authors: Lopes, Mário Canongia - Cony, Christophe.

Windsock Volume 9 Number 4. Colour profile on rear cover SPAD VII S.5721 Lt Alberto Lello Portela Spa.124 Diagonal white band cowl. Portuguese pennant & cockade.

Greetings!!
Dario
