Through the snow and the wind, the old wires singing, I have dodged Archie and engaged in combat in the blue expanses, and settled in here at the new aerodrome. *Where are the rest of you from old 266? *Come on, chaps, we can't let the other squadrons see we've got no spirit!

On your wingtip, Steph! Older, greyer, but hanging in.

If you lift your gloved hand and squint into the sun between your outstretched fingers you might just be able to see me hovering in the thin air above you, guarding your six, and earning some flying pay.

Right-O, what fun!

Good to know we're all not going to forget the old squadron.
Now if the rest come in, we'll get into our new Camels.

Is the Camel available in XXXL? Otherwise we may have to let one out. I'm not getting any younger and my child bride is a seriously good cook.

Welcome to the Squadron, Andy! *That makes two real and the rest of us wannabes!

Thanks for confirming that you're Yorkshire - I suspected as much from your former name. My father's family was from Northumberland.
