SE5a with vee tail
In 1919, a SE5a was modified by removing the vertical stabilizer and transforming the horizontal stabilizer into a vee configuration similar to a Beechcraft Bonanza. Does anyone have a photo to share of this experimental aircraft? Thanks.

I hate to be a disappointment, all I've found is other people asking this same question elsewhere. Apparently there were drawings of this in old Windsock, but the issue is not mentioned. I have scanned several sources on flyingmachines.ru but found nothing.
(Edit: I am sorry to be such an idiot, I hastily read this without looking at the poster, everywhere else this has been mentioned has been from you. I really haven't found anything.  )

The Windsock Datafile Special on the 'RAF SE5a' by J M Bruce has images of two of the different tail configurations but not a "Vee". Mike |
