Fokker Dr.I Research Drawings

Ref: www.theaerodrome.com/forum/aircraft/26498-fokker-dr-i-wing-drawing.html

Does anyone have this set of drawings? Are they detailed enough to build from?

Thanks Mac

I think you are referring to Gary's drawing? is that right? If so Gary have not made his work public yet but here is a list of full size planes from my website.

Right.

In 2006 Gary wrote: "Here is a sneak preview of my "FOKKER Dr.I RESEARCH DRAWINGS" that I intend to make commercially available soon. The drawings are almost finished."

6 years have past. I was hoping they were out and there would been some review of them here somewhere.

I just found another reference to these drawings.

In 2011 he writes: "I have been asked for many years if my "Fokker Dr.I Triplane Research Drawings" are for sale. Not yet, but maybe soon! One offer I've recently 'considered' is with Jim Kiger of REPLICRAFT ( About Replicraft ) to help him produce a new Plan Set for the Fokker Dr.I Triplane. I really like Jim's drawing style. If not with REPLICRAFT, I'm seriously considering selling them myself."

I contacted Replicraft and Mr. Kiger knew nothing about doing a Fokker Dr.I drawing set and said there was not enough reliable information available to do so. He stated the project he is working on currently will take at least 2 or 3 years and will be his last.

The other drawings on your list are either not available or are not of true original construction. I guess there is no way to build an accurate Dr.I replica at this time.

Thanks Mac
