Rudolph Berthold Collection in NJ

Hi,
Does anyone know what became of (or what was contained in), the collection of Rudolph Berthold materials that were part of a WWI aviation collection in New Jersey a few years ago (10-15 years ago maybe?).

I vaguely remember seeing a brochure for the small museum that contained some of his medals and was wondering if there may have been some wartime photos in the collection as well.

I seem to recall that the museum was closing down and that it was really just an exhibit in someone's house that was opened to the public by appointment...I'm curious to learn more about it, and I'm sure that somebody here must know about it.

Thanks,
Tom Polapink

You may be thinking of the private museum housing the collection of Neal O'Connor that was located in Princeton, NJ. I believe that upon Neal's death, much of the collection was left to a German museum. I'm sure someone else out there can provide more specifics.

Thanks!

Hello Camel Driver & Cigogne,
Thanks for the information. Yes...Princeton, NJ rings a bell. I think I may have an old flyer from the museum somewhere in my files. I'll have to take a look to see if I can find it. If I can manage to "unearth" it, I'll post it here for anyone who might be interested.

Cigogne...do you know if there were any photographs in the materials that once belonged to Berthold, which are now at the Deutsche Technikmuseum?

Thanks again for your help.
Best regards,
Tom Polapink
