looks like the upper pattern is unavailable, though. guess thats why squadron didn't have it.

anybody got some upper & lower lozenge they're willing to part with? I'll pay you for it.

PEGASUS & BLUE loze decals...

http://www.pegasusmodels.com/models.htm

Quote:
With the collapse of Communism in the early 1990's . Many genuine WW1 vintage aircraft were discovered in remarkable states of preservation in the former Soviet block, and it's corresponding Satellite Countries. When restorers began work on these aircraft, no suitable 'Lozenge' fabric was available. Recognising this need, in Germany Silberstrief GmbH set about producing the first five colour 'Lozenge' fabric to be printed in over 75 years. Click here to see the actual fabric
The resulting fabric was so accurate that even the weave has exactly the same number of individual threads as the original fabric from which it was derived! Colour matched to the original preserved fabric and base dyes, this remanufactured 'Lozenge' fabric forms the absolute reference for many professional full size restorations the world over.
On receiving the fabric samples from Silberstrief GmbH, Pegasus; using the latest C.A.D. (Computer Aided Design) techniques scaled down the complex 'Lozenge' pattern geometry to an accuracy exceeding four decimal places! The resulting decal sets are the product of over 18 months work, and represent the most accurate 'Lozenge' decals ever produced. All sheets include a comprehensive instruction sheet, and a full compliment of Rib Tapes.
The 4 colour sheets were derived from original research by the Royal Aeronautical Society, H.A.M.G. and I.C.I. This was kindly provided by Ian D. Huntley Esq. of Aerocam, to whom our gratitude is extended. Whilst documenting the R.A.F. museum's Fokker D.VII, Mr. Huntley traced the complex 4 colour geometry directly from the original fabric. This 1:1 drawing was then converted onto a C.A.D. package and scaled down to a totally accurate 1/72nd. scale replica of the original fabric. Mr. Huntley also researched the original colours via the actual ground dye make up, still recorded by the original company BASF. - Aviation archeology indeed!
