Although most of my modelling was 1/72nd and 1/48th scale, I did do some larger ones, including the Revell 1/28th Fokker Dr1 and Camel (both in two different releases). I never did the SPAD (not knowing then that my mother's cousin was killed in one).
Given that 1/28th is non-standard, if you could instantly convince a reputable company to release it:
a. What First War aircraft would you request?
b. 1/32nd or 1/24th?
For me, the Brisfit in 1/32nd. How about you chaps?

Greetings folks
I really liked the 1/28 scale, having done all the Revell series, as well as a scratchbuilt Pfalz D-IIIa, and have a Nie 28 in the works as well.
As for the subject, Alb D-V is an excellent choice, but am also especially fond of the Nie 28.
Since 1/28 isn't an option in the question, either scale would rock.
*Ponders if this represents indecision, or senility on his part*
Safe flying,
Patrick

Gentlemen,
Does any one know anything about the newly released 1/32 Fokker D VII from Battleaxe? The drawing in the Squadron catalog showed a lot of interior detail parts.
TIA,
Terry

What I'd really like to see is a readily available range of accessories, readily available being the key phrase here,in the larger scales and preferably in resin. *One reason I'm looking forward to Hobbycrafts imminent 1/32 SPAD XIII is to get my hands on a 1/32 Hisso. Years ago a 1/32 Alb DV was supposedly due from the same source. It never did show up. Otherwise, yes. Wouldn't a big scale F2B be nice?
p.s. If anybody ever wondered why 1/28 scale, it's 12mm = 1 foot. Bloody railway modellers again!

Peter:
I would settle for 1/32 scale. But I insist we start with my list that would have a simultaneous production of:
DeH4
DFW C.V
R.E.8
LVG C.V
Bristol F2b
Halb. Cl.II
F.E.2b
Han. Cl.IIIa
B.E.2e
Alb.C.VII
Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter
A.E.G.C.IV
Oh well We can dream :
Happy skies,
Dan-San

Bigger is better... I would prefer the larger scale- easy for someone with clumsy hands like me to work with. As for aircraft:
E-III
Albatross D-I and D-III
Walfisch
Taube (any of the 50 or so varients would be ok)
Dr-I (of course!)
ANY of the larger bombers... wouldn't they look great hanging from the ceiling?
Fokker D-VII
Fokker D-VIII

If you want to do it yourself, I remembered Williams Brothers who make large scale accessories for R/C modellers. They have a nice line of machine guns and some engine kits as well.

I'm sure that most plastic torturers can do the rest!
