Aviatik colors

After seeing those great museum photo's of the surviving Aviatik DI I wanted to compare them to the black and white photo's of the 30.40 to see if the colors were the same. The Airdrome model plan I have has the colors as dark green and yellow ochre. Henri Kaper from over at the rc scale builder web site was kind to make the color photo a black and white. Here are the results. All comments are welcome. Looks to me like the yellow ochre is out.

It is not easy to recognize correct color from the black and white image. Also type of film and quality of chemicals used are also vital for the appearance of the image. There should be mentioned also light conditions and settings of the camera. problem is nicely described bellow:

Have to note that there is special plug in for Photoshop which could precisely convert color image into the black and white.

But for sure your image look very interesting.

Thanks Sreiko, I do realize all of that. Was hoping to get more feed back to the idea of the yellow ochre color. Cheers!

Could you post the color picture. I can process it to resemble an ortho B&W print.

John,
There's not much difference between my orthochromatic emulator and your B&W photo because its just beige & silver we are dealing with.
What is your Methuen code for "Dark Green" that you want to use?
