Question Information of Lt. H.G. Clements (74 Sqn)& (?) Mr. Curtiss

Hello everyone,
I am looking for any information regarding Lt. H. G. Clements, who I understand was wingman to Major Mick Mannock in No.74 Sqn, and also a Mr. Curtiss, (Rank & Sqn currently eludes me) who was a pilot during the First World War, and had his 1st World War experiences printed in the " Aeroplane Monthly" in the UK in the 1980's.Any information will be gratefully received,
Many thanks,
Strutter15

Click on the "Aces" button at the top left of the page and follow the links to the entry for Clements.

There was an earlier thread on this Forum:

http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/pe...fo-wanted.html

By the way, Mick Mannock wasn't a Major until he took command of No 85 Squadron.

His victory on 3 May 1918, shared with Mannock, Dolan and Kiddie, was probably over Uffz Fritz Schoning and Ltn Fritz Beuttler of FA32; both were killed.

His victory on 30 June 1918 was probably over Flgr Schott and Ltn Josef Keller of FA 48b; Schott was taken prisoner and Keller was killed.

He crashed C1079 upon landing from an OP on 12 April 1918.

He forced landed D6068 on 20 May 1918 after the engine failed to pick up after dive whilst on an OP.

As far as I know, No 74 Sqn was his only operational posting.

He resigned his commission on 7 July 1919.
