Help on the no. 4 squadron RAAF WW2

Hi all, i have been trying to find information on the 4th squadron during world war 2 mainly for family history reasons my grandfather i know he was discharged from that squadron after the war so chasing down more information and photos on what they actually did (i know they helped out infantry and did recon work) but more specifics. i have been told there was photos he had in a box but they have now vanished and he never talk about anything. so we have never knew what he actually did or who he flew with. i have also been looking for personnal lists so i could try a track my grandfathers movements

thank you all for your time and any help
