Mark III and IV. Some were retrofits of older airframes, but some older ones also carried through to the end with mods. Basically, larger elevators and tailplane, extended fin/rudder, sometimes reworked/additional radiator for tropical use, where you'd also expect a message hook. Handley-Page auto slots on the top wing of the Mk IV. Full dual controls, oleo tailskid, beefed-up undercarriage. By the end of the service life there was an awful lot of extra equipment hung off the beastie, but I don't think they ever changed from wooden construction, although it was reinforced (how, I don't know). I'm sure there's lots of other stuff, but the Windsock Datafile specials give some info, as well as a lot about postwar use in 'Bristol F2b Fighter, King of Two-seaters' by the late Chaz Bowyer.
