Cigogne:
1. It rained and the wind blew about 30 mph. NO FLYING. Tuesday afternoon they took the pictures of the Fok.D.VI in frame.
2. I had the opportunity to seen the machine and In my examination, I found it was not "Kosher".
3. The things "unkosher" will be covered-up with fabric, so no one will know.
4. It is LITTLE, even next to the DR.I.
5. I did not get a chance to talk to Javier, he did not fly up from LA because of the weather.
6. I don't have an E-mail address for Javier.
* * * * * * * * * * * *I was disappointed,

There were structural inaccuracies in the fuselage
framing, strut sockets, strut ends and in the wing structure. most would be covered up with fabric, however the interplane strut ends will be visible. The struts ends are squared off, instead of the pleasing taper. Anyhow it really looks good, it is very small compared to the D.VII and a little smaller than the DR.I. Javier has in his Fokker collection, a Spin,(non-flying), E.III, D.VI, D.VII(2) and a E.V. I would say that represents Fokker pretty damn good!
He is thinking about a Fok.D.IV!
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Dan-San,
What will power it? Is the cowling "kosher?"

Cigogne:
It is powered eith a 110 Le Rhône. The cowling was not yet made. I don't know how "kosher" it will be. I'll be seeing again in the next several weeks. Javier called and apologised for not being there. He said he would fly up to Modesto and pick me up and fly down to the "ranch". He said we would have a day of flying. What a nice guy.
Blue skies,

Hopefully they studied your article that appeared ini OTF a few years ago on the different cowling details from the Dr.I, D.VI, and E.V/D.III.

Dan-San;
The Fokker D-VI has always been a favorite of mine, It's such a neat looking airplane. I almost like it as much as the Albatros D-II.
