Just watching the last few minutes of this auction and thought I'd add this... from the last time it was sold...
On Feb-18-04 at 07:49:35 PST, seller added the following information: I just got an email from the nephew of the observer in the Rumpler, Max Groschel. He wrote an article about his uncle that was published in Over the Front Vol 8 (4) 1993. He is sending me a copy of the article which I will include with this sale. He also said that the rudder and machine guns from this aircraft are in the USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio, while Major Biddle's grandson has Groschel's glasses and map. I will provide the nephew's address to the winning bidder if he/she would like to correspond. Thanks, Gary VBR Rod
