Leyland & Crossley Trucks?

Greetings, all!

Just wanted to access the collective brain again. Anyone out there know if there exist accurate plans (scale drawings) for the Crossley Tender and/or Leyland RFC Tender?

A brief search through google has not revealed anything. I did however come across the Crossley site with some nice photos.

BTW, the Australian War Memorial is a great site! Found some really interesting SE5a shots and photos on the Leyland. A wonderful resource.

I think that John Church and Geoff Lacey made good plans of these lorries (as many others vehicles). Don't know if they have a website but you can contact the MAFVA (Miniature Armoured Fighting Vehicles Association.

My quest for info on the Crossley Tender and Staff Car continues. Thanks to those that have responded.

Just for the record, the tender at the RAF Museum is not 100% accurate. Judging the specimen against period photos (http://www.crossley-motors.org.uk/WW1.html), the cab is totally wrong.

Likewise for the example at the Australian War Memorial Museum. The cab and canvas cover do not match period photos. Their example is currently undergoing conservation.

The plans in the Airfix quide are pretty accurate in general layout. However, the rear view of the tender does not accurately represent the cargo bed.

I'm pursuing a few more leads. I'll let you know what I find. The Crossley has proved to be a rare animal indeed!

Great link Mossie! I saved those drawings for decades, only for them to succumb to water damage during my most recent house move. Now I want a drawing for that little Fiat on the second link! There's just no pleasing some people.

p.s. The Matchbox Crossley is 1:47 scale. Close enough for gummint work.
