Pictures of ....

Hello,

Last summer I went to Ypres and visited several cemeteries. I was looking for the graves of several airmen. With the help of Mike O' Connors book "Airfields and Airmen: Ypres" I managed to find them.
In his book he tells the story behind the fallen airmen. He also shows some pictures of them, but not in every case.
Maybe someone can help me to get the pictures of:
- Captain J.W.W. Nason
Killed 26-12-1916 (Vlamertinghe British Military Cemetery)
- Second Lieutenant John Mac Haffie
KIFA (Mid-air collision with Robert McKergow) 21-9-1917
(Ypres Reservoir Cemetery)
- Leutnant Erich Reiher Jasta 6
KIA 24-6-1917 (Vlamertinghe New British Military Cemetery)
- Leutnant Friedrich Reichstein & Leutnant Johann Radatz Flieger Abt. 7
KIA 15-6-1917 (Vlamertinghe New British Military Cemetery)

Thanks in advance,

Jos

Blagrove

Hi!

Living at Bruges, could eventually gor to search them

Not related to your question,

But at Gent-Westerbegraafplaats is buried Flight Lieutenant C.R. BLAGROVE
I lost the info, but also his observer-gunner must be buried there (but's his name?)
Blagrove was shot down above Roksem on 7th February 1917by some pilot probably based at Jabbeke?
he was first buried at the grave yard of Jabbeke (with his observer) and strange enough post WWI broughtover to Gent-West!
Why not in West-Flanders?
I have only the photo of Balgroves tumbstone as I didn't know he was buried thre with his observer which was probably from some other unit than RNAS!

Also at STEENBRUGGE (Bruges Central City grave yard) is amongst the Belgian WWI military grave yard one single british white stone standing from some airman or RNAS personnel which died 1919!

I also noticed some WWI soldiers and in special civil victims private graves there were restaured by the City Grave yard reponsables!
Amongst the grave two children of little age (one less than a year!) victim of some bombardment on Koolkerke (I believe) 1917!
Seems they also are intended to preservate this graves for ever!

Jempie,

From The Sky Their Battlefield, F/Lt C.R. Blagrove was KIA along with 2/AM J. Milne, probably by Vzfwflgmstr. Josef Wirtz of MFJ I. They were from 5 Wing RNAS and were lost on Sopw. 1-1/2 #N.5102.
