His fuselage construction technique seems quite interesting. I notice that it is the same as he used for the tail-booms on the Caproni. I wonder if the Caproni was originally struts and wire, like many, (most?) of the English planes of the time, and of course, the Spad.
It looks rigid truss not unlike the welded frames on Fokkers, but built up wood?. Maybe with more moment capacity at the connections.
Has anyone seen this anywhere else?
