Military Show April 28th-Good stuff!

Just thought I would let any of you close to Patterson, New York in Putnam County, know about a military show. It is in the Patterson Recreation center by the train station on April 28th (this month). There will be WWI aviation items for sale, and some on display. My friend Brian Benedict, known as the Duffle Bag Man on the History Channel, is running the show, and he just showed me one of the display pieces. I almost passed out...it was a huge section of fuselage fabric with the hat in the ring from the old 94th squadron painted on it. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, apart from a whole plane. Apparently, there is going to be some high quality items going up for sale soon. I told Brian that I would tell everyone on the Aerodrome website about it. If any of you can attend, please do so. I will try to answer any questions you have.

Just wanted to let everyone know that show went without a hitch. I was very nervous and did not sleep well (4 hrs if I'm lucky) as I had never worked a show before. I never really pondered the additional responsibility of a seller before preparing for the show. Basically, my home had become cluttered beyond belief with militaria, so I sold a few things as a grand gesture to my little spitfire AKA wife (it must be the red hair LOL).

There are two people I would like to mention, since they're my friends, and I don't know if the others would want me advertising their names. Brian Benedict and his daughter Jeanie were running the show and they did another great job. They even took the time to help calm me down since it was my first time selling. Brian was running on two hours of sleep, but you would never know it, unlike me. I was a total scatter brain that day, but Brian sounded like he had 8 hours of sleep and he's my father's age! Brian and Jeanie run a shop called The Duffle Bag in Patterson, New York (Putnam County) which sells all things military. They can also aquire things for you if they don't carry them due to an extensive number of contacts. Brian has done spots on The History Channel, is an arm of the West Point Museum, and other organizations. Brian and Jeanie will always work with you on prices and they are just good, honest and caring people. They really go out of their way to help soldiers on their way overseas. You can't find two nicer people.
