Roden 1/32 S.E.5a

It looks like Roden's SE5a is close to release. It has been moved from the "In Processing" page to the "News" page on their site. No sprue shots yet though.

Great news! A large scale injected molded S.E.5/a has been long over due. Now, if Roden will produce a 1/32 Albatros D.V/a, I will be a happy man and quite content.

Overall I am REALLY looking forward to this release! So far I do have one concern( The decals sheet includes decals for the inspection panels on the wings. This was only barely acceptable in 1/48th scale, (I cut out and detailed these on my 1/48th build). I really hate to be critical but in 1/32nd this should be included in the mold! Still I will buy and build a couple

Roden 1/32 SE.5a sprues

Hi all,

Saw this mentioned elsewhere and followed the link to www.modelimex.com (FYI I'm not involved with them in any way).

I'm really looking forward to this . Any comments from those more knowledgeable would be greatly received.

TIA

Bill

I know for a fact that a PE set is being worked on for this kit. Not saying who or when.

Not had to guess who on the photo-etch.

Now that the Se5 is out (and looks very much like their 1/48 kit) and with the Spad VII on the way can we look forward to a Pfalz D-III and N. 28 in 1/32 ????

Sprue shots?

Still no sprue shots at the Roden site. I wonder why?

In picture of the bagged kit, it does indeed look like a scaled up version of the 1/48 kit. The 1/48 kit is very nice, but I hope this has more refined details appropriate to 1/32 scale.

I have high hopes for the Roden SPAD 7. I have spoken with Roden and they are using the excellent Aviatik book as the reference in designing the kit. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Cheers!

Let's hope they get the wing rib count right this time!
I will definitely pick one up.
