Question lieutenant Tzu

Hello

It is my first message on this forum

I would like to know who is lieutenant Tzu? I found on a site this photography:

source:http://www.tao-yin.com/baron-rouge/baron-rouge.html

Obviously it is a Chinese volunteer with 7 approved victories...Who is it?

thank you for your future answers

Salut Naimbs

His chinese name was Zhu Binhau and he was known as Etienne Tsu in France.
There is a short bio by Christophe Cony in Avions n°54.
He gets his civil brevet on march 6 1914.
He was a quite a good fighter : 3 confirmed victories and 6 probables between january 1916 and february 1917 (then he left frontline).

There is a web link about the Zhu/Tsu family made by a relative. Very interesting on the familial background : chinese catholic (since 17th century!) from Shanghai.

Arrow Etienne Tsu

Bonjour Naimbs,

Interesting...

Have you tried to find some more information on Tsu at the Service Historique de la Défense in Vincennes, France?
(Link: http://www.servicehistorique.sga.def...s/colloque.htm)

Keep us posted!

Cheers,
Tsuru
