Jasta 2 Albatros DV

Hi,

Does anyone of my estimed collegues on this forum (Hmm that sounds great ! ) know who was flying an Albatros DV in Jasta Boelcke with black and white stripes all around the fuselage ? I have seen this plane on a few photo's including one taken at my hometown at the Jabbeke-Snellegem aerodrome.
That would make my day !

Best and thanks from Johan

Hi,

Hmm, my mistake, it is an Albatros DIII after taking a closer view, not a DV.

Black and white fuselage bands from the top of the nose to the end of the tail. A bit like the Jasta 8 Albatros DV planes in 1917, but these bands are wider. Only other possibility remains a MFJ plane, but I seriously start to doubt it. So three possibilities so far : MFJ, Jasta 2 or 8 at Jabbeke aerodrome. Other units which stayed here had nothing of the kind concerning unit colors or marking (Jasta 20,28 and 51)

Also wider bands then the ones on Theodor Rumpel's Albatros DV of Jasta 16b in 1917.

Thanks and best from Johan
