Value of harleyford Profile Books

Hello all,
I have the three Harleyford WWI plane profile books: Fighters, Bombers and Recon, and Float Planes. Does anyone know the value of these. I realize condition weights into it. I also know the bomber one is very rare, bomber is rare and fighter seems to be more common.
Any help and insight you can offer would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike, I LOVE the Harleyford books. I first experienced them when I was 11 or 12 years old and remember being blown away by them at the time. These things do keep their value very nicely. I've handled quite a few of them over the past few years. On ebay, you can generally expect to pay $10 to $20 for many of the titles in the series. "Air Aces" & "Von Richthofen" generally $15 to $25. Some of the rarer titles a little more. I have also sold quite a few of the early, numbered ones (with all the creator's signatures) and these will go for, say $30 to $40. Of course these are all ebay prices, I know there are dealers that fetch a bit more for the various titles. Either way, these things are worth every penny spent.
Cheers!
Jan G.

P.S. Werner Voss fan here.

P.S. I agree with Rainbase concerning the prices of these fabulous books. Have quite a few of them myself.

Three or four years ago I picked up a good+ copy of "Air Aces" (I just HATE that term) of the 1914-18 War for $25 cash money, at a gunshow.

I keep an eye out for WWI titles on eBay and at Amazon, and I haven't seen many nice copies of the Harleyford WWI titles w/dj for less than $25 + S&H.

I did just pick up a very nice 1st US edition of No Parachute for a little less than that, which I thought was a pretty good deal. No Parachute is probably my favorite first person account, and I haven't seen a hardback copy in good shape for less than $50, except for the Time Life reprint, which sometimes goes a little cheaper. The paperback editions are going for $10-$20.

Any of the Harleyfords in nice shape is a good deal at $25. The Nowarra Richtofen bio would be a steal at that price, I think.

Thanks for the welcome Tom. I thought I posted an intro, but now I don't see it so I must have messed it up. I'll get around to it again.

Not much to tell anyway. Just a long time student of WWI aviation now old enough to spend time on it again, who thought he knew something about the subject until he visited here.

Are Harborough and Harleyford books similar??

My dad had some Harborough books but when he passed away some 23 years ago the books went in the trash along with most of his other WW1 items.

I know... I know

Mate,
We are all learning here, no matter how long I hang around this site - something new always reveals itself.
