GE Type B compass

I have seen the GE Type B compass, quite similar to the British 5/17.
What aircraft was the GE Type B used?

The early GE compasses were contract built 5/17's starting in 1917. I have seen the type B in situ in restored and unrestored Jenny's and seem to recall them in photos of other US aircraft/mailplanes etc.... from late 1918 on. Of course after the war they were used commonly in civilian aircraft. I've never seen one documented in a British aircraft.
