Hi Mosen and Rammjäger
I agree with Mosen that Hinsen presumly was a member of Ks 20 when he scored his victory...!
However I have a note that Ks(kasta) 20 was renamed to Ks 1 already on 3 April 1917, when this unit still served in Macedonia.....?
I also have a note that Hinsen earlier had served within FFA 54, a unit which served within the German Süd Armee in Karpathan from Febr 1915 until Jul 1915.
This indicates that Hellmuth Gürichs unit probably could be FFA 54....
Rammjäger, If you have a deep interest regarding Sven Hedins activities on the Eastern front and in Palestina(FA 300) there exists much additional info here in Sweden. In his books which were published during the War only a few of all his photos were published because of censorship etc.
Sven Hedin was a very social man and easy made friends and also many letters has probably survived...
