I am a Frenchman, I live in France and, most probably, I will die in France. Nevertheless, I have to agree with your statement, France where most of things related to Aviation began, in no longer air minded ! You were surprised to find that nothing has been written recently in France about WW1 flyers, how right you were. But the problem is that, there is plenty of guys in France who know a lot and COULD write good books, on that subject. But, but, there is not one editor that would accept to publish them... because no one, or almost, would by them. That's the way it, rise and fall of the French Air Empire !...
